"The knee is an articulation of extreme importance, being composed of the bones of the thigh (femur) and leg (tibia), in addition to the patella (formerly called the rod). The addition of these bones depends on support structures such as ligaments, joint capsule and the meniscus, which guarantee the stability of the same. "
